Space Shooter

Fly your ship, shoot waves of alien craft and collect power-ups to survive.

How to use: Drag on the game (or use the left and right arrow keys) to move your ship. It fires on its own.

How to play Space Shooter

Space Shooter is a vertical arcade shooter. Your small ship sits near the bottom of the screen and fires automatically. Waves of enemy craft fly down from the top, and you must dodge or shoot them before they reach you. You have three lives.

To move, drag your finger or the mouse across the game and the ship follows. On a keyboard, use the left and right arrow keys or A and D. Because shooting is automatic, you only have to think about where to be. Red drones fly straight down. Orange zig-zag ships need two hits and weave from side to side. From level three, purple tanks appear that take four hits and fire back at you.

Destroyed ships sometimes leave a power-up. A yellow P upgrades your guns to a double shot and then a spread shot. A blue S gives you a shield that absorbs one hit. Taking damage removes your gun upgrade, so protecting yourself is worth as much as shooting.

The level goes up every 400 points, and enemies arrive faster each time. Stay near the lower middle where you have the most room to react, and move early. Your best score is saved on this device, and the game pauses if you switch tabs.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to press a fire button?

No. Your ship fires automatically. You only steer.

What do the power-ups do?

P upgrades your weapon, up to a spread shot. S gives you a shield that blocks one hit. Losing a life removes your weapon upgrades.

How many lives do I get?

Three. You are briefly protected after being hit, and the game ends when the last life is gone.
