How to use the Age Calculator
Counting age sounds easy until you need years, months and days together. This calculator compares your date of birth with a target date, which defaults to today, and works out the exact difference in calendar terms.
Choose your date of birth, and optionally change the “age at” date to find out how old you were or will be on any day. The main result shows completed years, months and days. Alongside it you will see the total number of months, weeks, days and hours you have lived, the weekday you were born on, and the date and countdown to your next birthday.
The calculation counts whole months from the birth date first and then the leftover days, so the answer matches the way people state their age in everyday life. If you were born on 29 February, the tool treats the birthday as 1 March in non-leap years.
You can use it to check eligibility ages for school or sports, to plan milestone birthdays, or simply for curiosity. It also helps with paperwork that asks for age on a particular reference date, such as the start of a school year or a competition. All calculations run privately in your browser; your birth date is never sent anywhere.
