How to play Tile Match Solitaire
Tile Match Solitaire is a calm, mahjong-style matching game for one player. Sixty-four picture tiles are stacked in four layers. Your goal is to clear the board by removing matching pairs, but you may only take tiles that are free. A tile is free when no tile lies on top of it and at least one of its long sides, left or right, is open.
Tap or click a free tile to select it, then tap another free tile with the same picture to remove both. Blocked tiles look faded and cannot be picked. The pictures are fruits, flowers, animals and sky symbols, so no special knowledge is needed and children can play too.
Every deal is built so that it can be cleared completely if you pick the right pairs. Choosing carelessly can still leave you stuck, so think about which tiles each match will uncover. If you get stuck, Shuffle rearranges the remaining tiles into a new solvable layout (three per game), and Hint shows a pair at the cost of ten seconds. Your score is the time you took to clear the board.
Work from the top of the pyramid and the ends of long rows first, because those tiles block the most others.
