Lake Fishing

Drop your line, wait for a bite and reel in fish without snapping the line.

How to use: Hold to lower the hook, let go to raise it. When a fish bites, hold to reel, but let go before the bar turns red.

How to play Lake Fishing

Lake Fishing takes you out on a calm lake at sunset. You have sixty seconds to catch as many points of fish as possible. Small fish swim near the surface and bigger, more valuable fish live deeper down, including the rare golden carp near the bottom. Watch out for the old boot, which is worth almost nothing.

Press and hold anywhere on the game, or hold Space or the down arrow, to lower your hook. Let go and the hook rises again. When a fish touches the hook it bites, and the reeling bar appears. Hold to reel the fish up toward the boat; the blue bar on the left shows how close it is.

Reeling builds tension on the line, shown by the bar on the right, and bigger fish tug harder. If the tension reaches the top, the line snaps and the fish escapes. Let go for a moment to relax the line when it turns orange or red, then reel again. Minnows are worth 3 points, perch 6, trout 10, pike 18 and the golden carp 40.

Short taps keep the tension steady. Deep fish are worth the trip, but take longer to land, so watch the clock.
